Preparations of Wood Avens has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, soothing, anti-acid, and hemostatic effect. It is used internally for liver and kidney diseases, inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and cough with difficult-to-separate sputum.

 

Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, especially with increased acidity, rickets, externally in the form of lotions and rinses with bleeding gums, inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, and skin diseases.
